Champion Ming Po at 4 months of age
What can you expect to pay for a Bengal from Zazen Bengals?
The price of a cat or kitten often reflects their quality and pedigree. Zazen kittens are bred to be loving, intelligent and beautiful life-time companions - a precious and priceless member of a loving family. Our kittens come from Champion show cats who are themselves descended from well known championship lines. Each kitten comes with a health guarantee, pedigree registration, all appropriate vaccinations and is microchipped. The actual cost of each kitten is dependent upon it's quality and whether or not it is sold as a breeder or as a pet. Kittens are not released until they reach at least the age of 12 weeks to ensure that they are properly vaccinated and appropriately weaned. A kitten can be placed on hold with a non-refundable deposit of $200. We also accept deposits in order to be placed on our waiting list for a particular type of kitten.
Pet quality kittens are beautiful and healthy kittens who may not have the superior conformation or coloring which might place them as superior show quality kittens. As with all other kittens, they have all been provided with age appropriate vaccinations. Pet quality kittens are usually priced at between $750 - $1200
Show quality kittens which are sold as pets are usually priced between $1200 - $1800. These kittens are superior in conformation and color and represent the top qualities sought for in the bengal breed. Although we cannot guarantee that our show quality kittens will achieve awards in future shows, we know that they have tremendous potential to become superior examples of the bengal breed.
Our show quality kittens are only rarely sold for breeding and are only sold to reputable and responsible breeders. Kittens who are sold intact for breeding are usually priced between $1800 and $3000.

Pandaemonium attacking her marble brother with mom looking on Ming was very laid back, even as a baby Lucy has such a Sophia Loren / Mona Lisa face
Zazen Bengals is a small, in-home cattery and each of our cats is a nurtured member of our family. As reputable breeders, we create a quality environment that is safe, healthy, loving and stimulating for our cats. All of our cats have room to run, to play and to socialize with humans, other cats and our family dogs. The only enclosed cattery area is Ming's private bachelor pad also known as AlCat-traz (a windowed area of our basement)- which is a 14 foot by 10 foot mesh enclosed room with a fountain, a tire swing and lots of toys and cat climbing areas. The parents of our kittens are available on site so that you can meet them and see that they are healthy and well-socialized.
Each of the cats in our breeding program has been raised as a kitten in our loving home and has been raised on quality nutrition and provided with excellent vet care. All of our cats have been tested negative for FIV/and Feline Leukemia and each one is kept up to date on all vaccinations. Our cats do not have outside access and this helps protect them from diseases associated with outdoor facilities including giardia, cocciddia, samonella, tri-tricomoniasis, and e-coli as well as many parasidic and fungal infections. Our contract states that we expect that all future owners will house the cats indoors throughout their lives and will continue to provide them with high quality nutrition and vet care. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a kitten or cat to anyone who in our best estimation would not or could not provide an appropriate life long home for that kitten or cat.
All of our kittens are professionally vet checked, registered with TICA and pedigreed, and are well socialized. We strive to produce high quality, healthy, wild looking kittens who will grow to become loving, healthy companions and family members. We do not breed our cats for the purpose of generating income, but rather in the hopes of improving the breed and enjoying the life long company of the cats we love.
They aren't bengals, but the picture is sooooooo funny!
We hope that our kittens may find a loving home with you; however, we hope that wherever you chose to find a feline companion that you will ensure that it comes from a healthy and loving home. If we do not have the right kitten for you, please let us refer you to several other quality Bengal breeders in our area.
